NO WEATHER are Emmy-nominated filmmakers Michael Beach Nichols (DIRECTOR / DP) and Christopher K. Walker (EDITOR). Founded in 2013 with the release of their smash Tribeca Film Festival hit FLEX IS KINGS, they went on to direct and produce the universally acclaimed WELCOME TO LEITH in 2015, which received an Emmy nomination for Best Documentary after bowing at Sundance and SXSW. In 2016 they produced the debut feature by filmmakers Anthony Caronna and Alex Smith, SUSANNE BARTSCH: ON TOP, which welcomed the legendary RuPaul as an EP. For their fourth feature, WRINKLES THE CLOWN, the collaborative partnered with Oscar-winning Topic Studios and Magnolia Pictures for a genre-bending and proudly polarizing horror/comedy. Recently, they directed and produced a 3-part docuseries for Hulu, titled PERFECT WIFE: THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF SHERRI PAPINI, with renowned filmmaker and frequent collaborator Erin Lee Carr. One week after its release, PERFECT WIFE was crowned Hulu’s biggest docuseries ever with 3.6 million views. The series was such a massive hit that it will get an ABC broadcast run in early 2025, a first for any Hulu docuseries. To date, their projects have screened at over 60 international film festivals, including Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Fantastic Fest, IDFA, and Hot Docs. They’ve aired on HBO, PBS and FX, streamed on Netflix, Hulu and Max, and have been optioned for narrative development by Blumhouse and Universal. Their short films have been Vimeo Staff Pick-ed and featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Dazed, and Short of the Week. NO WEATHER are based in NYC and Kingston, NY.
